Joy Julius — London
About
Joy Julius is a London-based designer whose work exists at the intersection of two worlds — the Yoruba craft tradition of Nigeria and the precision of European tailoring. Shaped by Ibadan and Lagos, sharpened by London, Joy creates clothing that refuses to belong to a single culture — because she never has. A graduate of Kingston University, where she won both the Tommy Hilfiger Scholarship and the FACE Black Excellence Prize, Joy designs with a single conviction: that what we wear should help us see ourselves more clearly. Not who we are told to be. Who we know we can become. Every piece is made to order. Every material chosen with intention. Every silhouette built to carry the person wearing it — wherever they are going.

Philosophy
Clothing as translation — between cultures, between selves, between who you are and who you are becoming.
Craft
Rooted in Yoruba textile tradition. Adire dyeing, natural materials, techniques that predate fast fashion by centuries.
Intention
Every material chosen to respect the body. Natural fabrics that breathe, heal, and when their life is done — return to the earth.
Becoming
Joy Julius does not dress who you are. It dresses who you are on your way to being.
